PODCAST – RODA REPORT – NBA PLAYOFFS: CAVS SWEEP CELTICS BUT LOSE KEVIN LOVE TO INJURY

Here’s my breakdown of the Cavs 101-93 win over the Celtics in Game #4 of the NBA Playoffs at the Garden in Boston. A game in which they lost starting power forward Kevin Love to serious shoulder injury on a dirty play by the Celtics Kelly Olynyk in the first quarter and also lost J.R. Smith in the 3rd quarter as he was called for a “Flagrant 2 Foul” for swinging his elbow and hand back at Boston’s Jae Crowder and making contact in the facial area. Yes the Cavaliers came away with a 4-game sweep and advanced to the 2nd round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs, but now they must wait to see how long Kevin Love will be out due to that shoulder injury and if the NBA suspends Smith for a game or two because of his ejection.

I should be happy after a 4-game sweep of the Celtics, instead I’m pissed off and you can hear how pissed I am by  – Listening Here –

  1. Kenny, I watched it live and I said as soon as it happened that it was intentional. It should have been a Flagrant 2 and kicked out. There is an underlying issue with the Cavs and Celtics. The reason I am saying this is because of the tension between Cavs and Crowder. The intention of Perkins (which I loved) blocking Crowder and the move by Smith.

  2. Rick Leonard says:

The officiating was pathetic and the game got way out of control. Olynyk assaulted Love intentionally causing him and injury that immediately takes him off the court. No call on play that brutal lets game turn in chaos causing more injuries and needed reviews by the league.

  3. Sonia Sergent says:

Seriously??? Why wouldn’t the refs call this one?????? !!!!!!!

  4. Keep control of the ball while it is behind your back.
Alley oop – is a pass and shoot sequence that involves great coordination between the passer and the receiver of the ball.
Coaches really don’t like to take chances on academic risks.

  5. Draymond Green had 11 points and eight rebounds and Stephen Curry added
10 points and 11 assists. It’s a long path throughout the Mi – LB but whenever you reach Triple-A
MLB starts to take notice and evaluates who will be a prospective Major League umpire.
Houston Rockets center Tracy Mc – Grady scored 7 of his 27 points in the final period,
leading his team to a 94-92 victory over Utah Jazz.
